GRAPHIC/PACKAGING DESIGNER

Puregear is an American based company (headquartered in Los Angeles) now with a design office
in Taipei, Taiwan.

Puregear (www.pure-gear.com) is wireless and mobile accessory brand founded as a branded company
branch of Superior Communications (www.superiorcommunications.com). Both headquarters are based
in Los Angeles, California.
With offices in Califonia, Texas, Dongguan, Xiamen and Taiwan, Superior Communications is a leading
manufacturer distributor of OEM/ODM accessories in the United States with customers ranging from Verizon
wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular. While Superior has been around since 1991, Puregear is
founded in 2009,
And has since begun to make its way into the industry with products being sold to Best Buy, Staples,
Target and Costco. and currently Far East Tone in Taiwan.

Puregear currently has an opening for an experienced Talented Packaging & Graphic Designer to join
our team here in Taipei. The idea candidate is creative, self-motivated, talented and very experienced
in package & graphic design.
Their job will be to help introduce new mobile and wireless accessory packaging ideas which include
everything from construction, materials to graphics. Duties will also include possible future catalogs,
brochures and work with updating our future Taiwan website. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Develop structural and graphic design of packaging, marketing collateral material from concept
to market for a variety of consumer products targeted for Direct Response and mass markets. 

Working knowledge of common offset printing techniques and ability to use appropriately in providing detail/direction to printers or factories. 

Create die-lines as well for new packaging structures.

Design new packaging and improve on existing packaging.

Design diagras for factories- for layout, blister design or pack-out instruction. 

Be able to manage and create a personal work load schedule  for project completion

Understanding of new design trends, eco materials and packaging construction options used by competitors.

Able to take initiative and work on projects with minimmal supervision. 

Ability to display conceptual ideas as rough sketches and in electronic format. 

Develop illustrations and text for product instructions including labeling and hang-tags. 

Be able to execute branding and logo design projects both in print and media environments. 

Other duties as assigned by Design Manager

Qualifications: 

A Portfolio demonstrating a strong mix of conceptual development, trend spotting, creativity and understanding of new packaging materials, existing materials and construction.

3+ years of working experience.  (this is a Mid level to Senior position)

Excellent graphic design skills with a strong attention to detail, quality and proofing. 

Exhibits excellent skills in composition, typography, design, and color. 

Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite. 

Write clear and detailed emails to all departments. 

Have awareness of team member’s workload and offer assistance when necessary. 

Keep records of own projects and projects of those supervised. 

Maintain organized project folders and back up work on server 

Skillful in creating mock up a plus

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, effectively manage ones time with the ability
to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines. 

Experience working effectively within a department and cross-functional teams as you will be the only
Graphic designer and reporting to the Industrial Design Manager
