The Good Folk
Due to continued growth, The Good Folk is looking for an enthusiastic and talented full-time
Graphic Designer based in the London area to deliver a range of print and digital-based creative
projects including branding, websites, ecommerce, press ads, direct mail, email marketing, packaging,
exhibition graphics, brochures and literature.
The Good Folk is an independent East-London-based ethical design studio.
Our guiding principle is to have a positive impact on society, using our skills to help others with the same
outlook. We work with a whole range of organisations from charities to small environmental start-ups.
You will need to have demonstrable experience across all aspects of design with proven commercial
experience in a similar role, ideally in an agency. It goes without saying that you will have a passion
for design, but a passion for the environment is also essential. You must have a thorough understanding
of issues around sustainability and climate change together with ethical considerations and understanding.
You will have a strong portfolio showcasing design across a range formats, inside-out knowledge
of Adobe Creative Suite, a solid understanding of design principles, typography and layout,
and be as happy designing a website front end as you are a brochure.
This is a client-facing role and you will need to be comfortable presenting and explaining
your ideas and design concepts to clients.
The role will involve working as part of a small team of two as well as third party suppliers such as
photographers, illustrators, printers, web developers, freelance designers, copywriters and marketing
specialists.
In return, we offer a salary of £25,000–£28,000 depending on experience.
This is a busy position which will provide plenty of variety and an opportunity to build on your design
skills and experience in a fun and friendly creative environment.
