About the Front End team
Our guiding principle is that by helping our users we help our business.
As a designer in our Front End team you'll be a key part of the idea generation process, working in a small
startup-like group which takes full ownership of their part of our platform. You'll work with developers,
product owners, copywriters and user researchers to conceive, analyse and test your ideas.

About You
‘Designer’ is just what it says on your CV - you’d be just as happy to be labeled an Engineer, or Analyst;
a Builder, Hacker or Maker. Because what you really do, what you live for, is solving problems.
Your portfolio isn’t a series of beautiful but generic templates - it’s a collection of stories that you can
discuss with enthusiasm, and regret ... because you’re always getting better at what you do and you’re
never satisfied with ‘good enough.’
You’re equally comfortable discussing colour theory, user psychology, or the semantic implications
of the DIV tag. And you’re excited about the endless potential of the web, and being able to build things
that people can use every day.

We offer product design and interior design internships for undergraduate and post graduate students.
Our internships are focused on learning experience as much as on making students valuable team members.
We are always interrested in working with highly motivated candidates of renowned design courses
for periodes of three months with extensions and eventual freelance work subject to individual performance.

As a design intern, you will assist designers with a variety of tasks across accessories design,
product design, furniture design and architectural projects. Some of these tasks include the development
of concepts, modelmaking, research into materials and manufacturing techniques, concept boards,
computer drawing and other daily activities.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in meetings and work on special projects.
If you are self motivated and passionate about design we would love to hear from you.
We require that you have at least 2 years of study and that you have technical skills that include some
of the following; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Vectorworks and a 3D modelling package such as Rhino,
Solidworks, 3D Studio Max, CInema 4D or Formz. We cover lunch and a basic compensation.

Marcel Wanders is looking for a Graphic Designer.

The graphic designer will be responsible for the generation and implementation of all graphics
works for the product and communication department. This includes but is not limited to:

Concept generation, print graphics, publication design, product graphics and packaging.

Tasks & responsibilities include:

- Ability to understand the core brand attributes of Marcel Wanders and interpret them through creative output
- Design textures and graphic patterns for products
- Creation of graphics for furniture and product with a basic understanding of surface treatments
- Preparation for all graphics for print including invitations and publications
- Knowledge of print techniques and processes
- Digital graphic experience is a bonus

Background & education:

- At least a Bachelors degree at a renowned design academy
- Excellent Adobe CS skills
- 2+ years similar experience
- Must be able to multi task, work well under pressure and able to manage conflicting priorities
- Must be a problem solver, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
- European work visa
- Fluent in English
- Living in Amsterdam or willing to relocate
