About author
Željka Kavran, born in 1980. in Croatia, after finishing her economics studies in Zagreb and working in the field for a couple of years , she ended up in Milan studying, where she completed a master in product design at Scuola Politecnica di Design in 2006. Absorbing the design reality and working in the field of product, interior and visual design at different studios, has brought her to participate in international exhibitions and competitions. Publications followed in various design books and magazines. In 2009 she returns to Croatia where she currently lives and works.
Vision
Developing a new type of constructivism, where strong forms meet with the nostalgic and in general an emotional moment. The process of design is like telling a story. Trying to reach to a finalised product, without loosing the moral of the story. She make it personal, reflect background, state of mind, aspirations, nostalgia. There is always a new way of looking at things that are obvious. They change as you change your point of view. Her mission is an eternal search of new ways in a familiar environment.
